So close to these Oracas!

Last year in Sept my son and I went fishing and the Orcas visited us.

We were at the Coast Guard base with friends and really had such a amazing moment!

Orcas have been spotted quite often in Aug and Sept when the fish are getting ready to go up the rivers.

Since the Elwha Dam was removed in 2012, there has been a big uptick up Orcas in the harbor.

When I grew up here it was very rare to spot an Orca, I think I did once. Since I've been back with my family, I've seen them over a dozen times.

Come visit Port Angeles and ride the waterfront trail you never know what you are going to encounter!
